Meet Your Teacher
Holly Hayer: Ph.D., Certified Tai Chi Gung Instructor
"I started practicing Tai Chi Gung in November 2021 after a long teaching career and was searching for more peace and more balance in very turbulent times. My journey with Tai Chi Gung and the 45 Day Renewals has brought me greater energy and vitality, more patience and letting go, alongside a much stronger conception of the omnipresence of the Divine.
Through the series of gentle movements and the breath, I experience that peace I was seeking, and it stays with me throughout the day in a world that appears so out of balance. I am grateful to be able to share the benefits of this system with others."

Lao Tzu created a series of warm ups and 4 basic Standing Exercises that are the core of every class. These are simple moving and breathing exercises that help students feel the life energy of Nature directly.
Almost 90% of students feel it in their very first class.
Whether you have been studying 6 minutes, 6 months or 6 years, you do the simple movements you learned in your very first class. They serve as an outline, and each student connects in their own way.
Because we don't hold back exercises, and they remain consistent, new students can join a live class any time. You'll feel right at home!
What Should I Wear?
Comfortable street clothes are fine. The class is done standing up, and it's so gentle you won't break a sweat!

Tai’ Chi Gung: A Personal Experience
Engaging in Tai’ Chi Gung once a week for approximately 11 months has been a transformative experience. Initially, the perceived benefits were somewhat limited, as the subtle nature of the practice did not immediately resonate with me. However, I decided to persist and commit to the process, believing in the potential of this ancient discipline.
As the weeks turned into months, I noticed a gradual improvement. The movements started to feel more natural. The benefits, while initially elusive, became more pronounced with time and practice.
Now, after approximately 11 months, at the conclusion of each 1-hour session, I am enveloped in a calm, peaceful, and relaxed state of well-being. Any pre-session tension and muscle discomfort are effectively eliminated, replaced by a sense of inner tranquility and balance. The flowing movements, coupled with mindful breathing, have cultivated a sense of harmony within. Each session serves as a sanctuary, a time to reconnect with my inner self and release the stresses of daily life.
In conclusion, Tai’ Chi Gung has proven to be a transformative experience, one that I initially approached with curiosity and now embrace with deep appreciation. Its benefits, though gradual, have been profound, offering a path to not only physical relaxation but also mental and emotional equilibrium. I look forward to continuing this journey, reaping the benefits that Tai’ Chi Gung has to offer.

My mom and I have been practicing Tai’ Chi Gung with Holly for 7 months now, and we absolutely enjoy the class! While guiding practice, Holly explains how the exercises help move the Chi, and how that helps our bodies and minds.
Our chiropractor also sees the benefits of the gentle and strengthening movements on our alignment and has encouraged us to continue to reap the positive benefits of working with Holly.

I have long been interested in doing Tai’ Chi, and my experience with Holly over the past year has satisfied that interest and provided a context where the physical and emotional benefits of the time spent together are very apparent.
It’s difficult to imagine that such a peaceful and low impact practice of Tai’ Chi could have the obvious benefits to one’s overall strength and sense of well-being! I find Holly to be a very well prepared and knowledgeable person to lead our practice sessions and to provide background and insight about the practice of Tai’ Chi Gung.
