    Meet Your Teacher

I  have been a very active person all my life, in sports and then coaching my children’s teams as they grew. Always looking for natural holistic ways for me and my children to live.  During those years of early adulthood,I had been drawn to taking Reiki and energy healing classes, when ever available.

23 years ago I  bought a few ACs on a small  Lake just off the Colorado River in Southern Arizona.  After exploring the my property and the surrounding desert, I found many primitive Indian sleeping areas, with this , I realized how Spiritually charged this area is. This property was very emotionally and Spiritually healing for me. My dream was to develop a healing center, for other people in need.

In my 40’s  I finally went to a chiropractor for chronic back pain, I was told I was developing Scolioses. Fast track 30+ years later I had resigned to looking for a comfortable rocking chair, for the rest of my days, with the developing arthritis in my lower back and not be able to open my mouth without pain in my jaw. When I went to my Grandkids ball games I would sit on the 1st or 2nd row of the bleachers because I was afraid I would trip and fall , in-front of everyone, from bad balance and vertigo from being so stationary for so many years.

After Tai Chi I can go right up the center of the bleacher as high as I want with out the need of the railing. I can eat a hamburger for the first time in 30 years with out pain. My arms and hands no longer fall asleep from pinched nerves in my neck.

There are so many more benefits of having Tai Chi in my life, there is no way to list them all. I am still realizing more benefits each day. Without a doubt Tai Chi has improved the quality of my life and the desire to extend my life another 50 happy years at the very least. The Spritual benifits are so very many and very personal. I would love to discuss them with you in person!! See you in class!!

Can I Join the Class Anytime?

Lao Tzu created a series of warm ups and 4 basic standing exercises that are the core of every class. These are simple moving and breathing exercises that help students feel the life energy of Nature directly. Almost 90% of students feel it in their very first class.

Whether you have been studying 6 minutes, 6 months or 6 years, you do the simple movements you learned in your very first class. They serve as an outline, and each student connects in their own way.

Because we don’t hold back exercises, and they remain consistent, new students can join a live class any time. You’ll feel right at home.

    What Should I Wear?

Comfortable street clothes are fine. The class is done standing up, and it’s so gentle you won’t break a sweat!
